Technical Business Analyst
Role Overview:
We are looking for a detailed-oriented Technical BA to act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and our technical team. Your goal is to translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and workflows that our Solution Architect and developers can immediately implement. You will ensure that “what we want” is clearly documented so the Architect can focus on “how to build it.”
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with the CTO and stakeholders to extract business requirements and project goals.
- Documentation: Create detailed User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Process Flowcharts (BPMN/UML) in tools like Jira/Confluence.
- Technical Translation: Work closely with the Solution Architect to ensure functional requirements are feasible and aligned with the technical strategy.
- Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the development team always has a “ready-to-code” pipeline of tasks.
- QA Support: Verify that the final deliverables match the initial Acceptance Criteria before they are marked as complete.
- Wireframing: Create low-fidelity wireframes or mockups to visualize requirements for the design and dev teams.
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Technical Literacy: You don’t need to code, but you must understand the basics of APIs, Databases (SQL), and how Web/Mobile apps work.
- Documentation Tools: Expert proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar project management tools.
- Diagramming: Ability to create clear flowcharts and diagrams using tools like Draw.io, Lucidchart, or Miro.
- Communication: Excellent ability to speak “Business” to stakeholders and “Tech” to developers.
- Agile/Scrum: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
