Education Walkthrough is a K-12 platform that lets principals, superintendents and instructional coaches run classroom, safety and maintenance walkthroughs, give teachers structured feedback, and track patterns across a school or district.

Aipxperts has built and grown it over roughly seven years, across a Node.js backend, a web application and Flutter apps for iOS and Android. It is now used across school districts in more than ten countries.

The problem

The instructional coaching loop only works if it closes quickly. A leader observes a lesson, notes what they saw, and gets it back to the teacher while the lesson is still fresh. In practice, that loop was breaking at the paperwork stage. School leaders were spending significant time on manual documentation, writing observation notes and then compiling them afterwards. Three consequences followed:

Teacher feedback was delayed, which is the failure that undoes the whole exercise

Observation notes delivered a week later are a record, not coaching.

There was no school-wide or district-wide visibility, so nobody could see whether the same issue was appearing in six classrooms or one.

Observation history lived in documents, so tracking a teacher's growth across a year meant finding and reading last year's files.

There was a practical constraint too. Observations happen while walking around a building, often in places with unreliable wifi, on whatever device the leader is carrying.

What we built

We built the platform around the moment of observation rather than the moment of reporting. If the note is captured properly in the classroom, everything downstream, the feedback email, the PDF, the analytics, comes free.

Walkthroughs on web and mobile

Classroom, safety and maintenance observations, with drafts that can be saved and completed later, so an interrupted walkthrough is not a lost one. The mobile apps hold observations locally in SQLite, which is what lets a leader keep working in a building with no usable wifi and sync when they are back in range.

Custom templates and rubrics

Schools build their own observation instruments and share them, with community, school, district and regional template libraries so a good rubric can spread rather than being rebuilt.

PDF generation and feedback email

A completed walkthrough turns into a formatted PDF and a personalised feedback email to the teacher, which is what actually closes the coaching loop.

Organisation and user management

Regions, districts, schools and roles, with permissions that reflect how education systems are actually structured rather than a flat user list.

Roster synchronisation

Integration with the systems districts already use to hold staff and class data, so the platform does not become another list somebody has to maintain by hand.

Analytics and reporting

School-wide and district-level trends built with Chart.js and ECharts, turning individual observations into a picture of where support is needed.

Teacher growth profiles

Observation history per teacher over time, so a conversation about development can reference evidence rather than memory.

AI-assisted reporting

Google Vertex AI integrations supporting content and report generation within the platform.

The outcome

The platform is live on iOS and Android with an active release cadence, and holds a 4.8 rating from 290 ratings on the App Store.
